Terms of Service

1. Agreement
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the FirstPass AD platform and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you represent that you are authorised to bind that organisation.
2. The Service — screening aid, not a substitute for professional judgement
FirstPass AD is an AI-assisted tool that screens civil infrastructure drawing packages before authority submission. Its outputs are a pre-review screening — potential issues with located evidence — intended to be reviewed, accepted or dismissed by a competent, appropriately qualified professional engineer. The Service does not perform an authority review, does not certify compliance, does not provide engineering or professional advice, and must not be relied upon as the sole basis for any design or submission decision. You remain fully responsible for the content of any package, deliverable or decision you issue.
3. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for: the accuracy and lawfulness of the material you upload; holding the rights and any necessary permissions to upload it; the professional review and sign-off of every output; and your compliance with all applicable laws, standards and the requirements of the relevant authorities (including the Abu Dhabi Department of Municipalities and Transport and the Integrated Transport Centre).
4. Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms or that we reasonably believe present a security or legal risk.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to disrupt it, reverse engineer it, access data you are not authorised to access, upload unlawful content, or use it to produce deliverables you are not professionally qualified to issue.
6. Intellectual property
You retain ownership of the material you upload and the outputs generated for your projects. We retain ownership of the Service, its software and its underlying knowledge base. You grant us a limited licence to process your material solely to provide the Service to you.
7. Confidentiality of your material
Drawing packages, reports and any other material you upload are your confidential information. We use them only to provide the Service to your organisation: to screen the package, to produce your deliverables, and to keep the audit trail those deliverables cite. We do not disclose your material to any third party except the processors named in the Privacy Policy, each of which is bound to confidentiality, and we do not use your material to train publicly available models. Access inside FirstPass AD is limited to your organisation’s members and, for support and quality assurance, to named FirstPass AD staff acting under the same obligation. You may retire a package at any time, which purges its drawings and generated files from storage.
8. Fees
FirstPass AD is sold as prepaid Submission Packs. A pack is paid once and credits a page allowance to your organisation; there is no subscription and no recurring charge. Screening a drawing package spends pages equal to its sheet count, once — re-screening that same package spends nothing further. Pages you have not spent remain in your organisation’s balance and may be used for a later submission. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law, and we may change pricing on reasonable notice.
9. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from reliance on Service outputs that have not been independently reviewed and signed off by a qualified engineer. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Term and termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time; unspent pages are not refunded except where the law requires. We may suspend or end access for a breach of these terms, giving notice where practicable. On closure you may request deletion of your account and its project data, which we handle as described in the Privacy Policy — including the one exception set out there, for cached model responses that are not linked to an account. FINAL deliverables you have already downloaded remain yours.
11. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
